Adamson gets new coach in Jerry Yee

Adamson and Akari moved to the next phase of its partnership with the appointment of Jerry Yee as the new head coach of the Lady Falcons.

After missing the Final Four yet again in UAAP Season 84, the University decided to take a different direction and part ways with erstwhile mentor Lerma Giron.

And with the backing of Akari, Adamson zeroed in on Yee, who most recently won the NCAA Season 97 championship in his first full season at the helm of College of St. Benilde.

Yee, who has had stints coaching University of the Philippines in the UAAP and Sta. Lucia in the Philippine SuperLiga, is one of the country’s most respected tacticians and is the head of the PNVF Coaches Commission.

Before making it to the collegiate and professional ranks, he was the long-time head coach of Hope Christian High School, which he led to several Palarong Pambansa titles.

Yee inherits a loaded team that features team captain Louie Romero, Rizza Cruz, Lucille Almonte, Lorene Toring and Kate Santiago, among others.

Yee is joined in his coaching staff by assistants Rald Ricafort, Jay Chua, and Josiah Albelda, strength and conditioning coach JP Martires, and physical therapist Ella dela Cruz.
