ADAMSON-A ruled the 19U Girls division of the Gameville Fil-Nation Volleyball Tournament Season 3 with a 25-22, 25-15, 25-15 victory over Far Eastern University-Diliman in the Final on Sunday.
The Akari-backed Baby Falcons avenged their 32-30, 22-25, 8-15 pool play loss to the Baby Tamaraws and secured the off-season championship.
The title duel was a rematch of UAAP Season 88 Final Four, where Adamson lost to FEU-D.
Ella Gonzalvo, one of Alas U18 anchors in the Philippines’ bronze medal finish in the Princess Cup and a AVC Girls’ U18 Championship veteran, was named the tournament MVP and 1st Best Outside Hitter.
Isabel Baser (1st Best Middle Blocker), Rhee Anne Castro (Best Opposite Spiker), Elaine Garces (Best Setter), and Jayrelle Mesa (Best Libero) were the individual awardees.
Adamson A placed second in Pool B with a 2-1 record following victories against Fil-Am Nation Select Team Villapando and Holy Trinity Academy, and beat Pool A’s No. 1 Adamson B in the semifinals.
Adamson B defeated the University of the East to clinch the bronze medal.
