The Nxled Chameleons shrugged off the pesky Capital1 Solar Spikers in three sets, 25-13, 25-23, 25-22, in the PVL 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena, Tuesday night.

Nxled bounced back from a loss against the Creamline Cool Smashers to improve their record to 4-6. More importantly, the win gave the Chameleons momentum heading into their last game of this conference against the Petro Gazz Angels.

The Chameleons needed to dig deep to dispatch the Solar Spikers, especially in the third set where they overcame an early 2-11 deficit.

Lia Pelagas’ strong service game, Ivy Lacsina’s hot stretch, and Cams Victoria’s timely hits were pivotal during the third set comeback, as they disrupted the Solar Spikers’ offense, enabling the Chameleons to level the match at 15-all.

From then on, Lacsina took matters into her own hands and delivered the final blows to secure the victory.

Victoria, who filled in for a recovering Lycha Ebon, shone in the opposite position by scoring 17 points, comprising 14 attacks and three blocks. Lacsina, on the other hand, put up 12 points.

Jhoana Maraguinot chipped in eight points and seven digs, while Kamille Cal tossed 11 excellent sets.

Meanwhile, Lourdes Clemente was the only Solar Spiker to barge into double-digit scoring with 10 points. Jorelle Singh added eight points, while Arriane Layug contributed six markers.

Nxled will try to conclude their All-Filipino campaign on a winning note when they face Petro Gazz Angels on Saturday, April 27, at 4 p.m. at the same venue.
