The Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons once again fell short against the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23, in the second round of the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Tuesday.
Youngsters Red Bascon and Barbie Jamili carried much of the scoring load for Adamson with 13 and 11 points, respectively, while libero Karen Verdeflor manned the floor as she tallied 19 excellent receptions and 14 excellent digs.
Meanwhile, FEU’s opposite spiker Faida Bakanke delivered 13 points supported by Chenie Tagaod, Gerzel Pettalo, and Jean Asis who chipped 12, 11, and 10 markers separately.
Adamson slid down to a 2-7 record. On the other hand, FEU tightened its grip on the last Final Four slot.
The Lady Falcons will clash with the defending champions De La Salle University Lady Spikers at the Smart Araneta Coliseum next Wednesday, April 17 at 2 p.m.
