SANTA ROSA, LAGUNA — The Akari Chargers got back on the winning track with a straight-sets win over Nxled, 25-17, 25-19, 25-20, in the PVL 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex last Saturday.

Fifi Sharma spearheaded the attack for the Chargers with 13 points, while Ced Domingo and Grethcel Soltones added 13 and 12 points, respectively. Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Faith Nisperos also joined the scoring party with eight markers each.

Team captain Michelle Cobb once again earned Best Player of the Game honors as she fanned out 14 excellent sets and scored three points.

Meanwhile, Lycha Ebon was the only Chameleons who entered the double-digit zone in scoring with 11 points built on nine attacks and two aces. May Luna tallied eight points, Cams Victoria and Jai Atienza chipped in five markers each.

Akari improved to a 2-3 record and is set to face the undefeated Choco Mucho Flying Titas on March 23, Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, 6pm.

On the flip side, Nxled eyes a return to the win column as they go head-to-head with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers on March 26, Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena, 4pm.
