SAN JUAN — The Nxled Chameleons swept the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17, to get their second consecutive victory in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Arena, Thursday.
Jho Maraguinot led the way for Nxled with 13 points, seven excellent digs, and six excellent receptions. Moreover, Krich Macaslang and Lycha Ebon chipped in 11 and 10 points respectively.
On the Galeries Tower side, Andrea Marzan was the lone Highriser who barged into double digits in scoring as she tallied 11 points, while Audrey Paran and Rap Aguilar added nine and seven markers separately.
Nxled had slow starts in the first two sets, before regaining its bearings in the finishing stretches to steal both.
Then, the Chameleons smelled blood from prey and dominated the Highrisers in the third frame to seal their second straight win.
Nxled improved to 3-5 and will next face the defending champs Creamline Cool Smashers on Thursday, November 23 at the PhilSports Arena, 4pm.
