PASIG — Sweep for win #1.
Akari turned in a total team effort in banishing UAI-Army in straight sets to register their first victory in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference at the Philsports Arena here.
Rivera and the Chargers bucked a shaky start before turning back a spirited effort by the Lady Troopers to collect the 25-20, 25-22, 25-22 triumph.
THAT FIRST AKARI WIN!

Rivera, Akari’s bombastic import from the Dominican Republic, was an unstoppable force, firing 25 points — all off kills — in just three sets as UAI-Army found no answers for her wit and power.
The 6-foot-1 outside hitter added 11 digs and seven excellent receptions for the Chargers, who evened their record at 1-1.
On the other hand, the Lady Troopers slid to 0-2 in a tie with idle F2 Logistics.
