Adamson University unleashed its full power when it mattered most, sweeping Far Eastern University, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14, to capture the 2025 Women’s V-League Collegiate Challenge crown on Friday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.

What was expected to be a hard-fought decider turned into a showcase of the Lady Falcons’ dominance. Adamson dictated the tempo throughout the one-hour, 23-minute encounter, outclassing the Lady Tamaraws with a commanding 47-23 advantage in attacks.

Nigerian outside hitter Francess Mordi set the tone with 19 points, 18 of which came from kills, while Eloi Dote provided solid support with 11 markers, including three aces. Orchestrating the offense was Best Setter Fhei Sagaysay, who tallied 23 excellent sets on top of seven digs and three points.

At the heart of Adamson’s championship run was Finals MVP Shaina Nitura, who led with 17 points, 13 digs, and 10 receptions in the title-clinching match. The tournament’s Most Valuable Player averaged an impressive 23.33 points per game in the best-of-three series, embodying Adamson’s fighting spirit and composure.

The Lady Falcons capped their campaign with an 11-1 record, their lone defeat coming in Game 2 of the Finals. The setback proved to be a crucial turning point, as the team regrouped and returned stronger to reclaim their rhythm and focus in the winner-take-all showdown.

The victory also added another gem to Adamson’s decorated history in the V-League. It marked their third title in the competition, following championships in 2008 and 2010 under coach Dulce Pante and their fourth overall crown in a Sports Vision-organized tournament, including the 2019 PVL Collegiate Conference triumph led by coach Lerma Giron.
