The Akari Chargers lost to the PLDT High Speed Hitters in straight sets, 17-25, 20-25, 19-25, in the PVL 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena, Tuesday night.
Akari was dealt its fifth loss in the 1 hour and 27-minute battle.
No Charger scored in double digits as Dindin Santiago-Manabat tallied nine points, while Gretchel Soltones and Erika Raagas added nine markers apiece.
Meanwhile, MaJoy Baron fueled PLDT with 13 points composed of eight attacks, three aces, and two blocks.
Savannah Davison posted 11 points, while Erika Santos chipped in nine markers.
The Chargers, now dropping to 2-5, look to bounce back against the Galeries Tower Highrisers on April 6, Saturday at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex, 2 p.m.
