SOAR FOR MORE: VETERAN LORENE TORING SAYS YES TO SEASON 86 WITH ADAMSON
News sweet like honey coming in.
Less than a week before Adamson bowed out of contention in the UAAP Season 85 Women’s Volleyball Tournament, veteran Lorene ‘Honey’ Toring has already decided she still has some unfinished business left in the collegiate level.
While some thought she was ripe enough to join the Premier Volleyball League, the Cebuana remains hungry to help give the Lady Falcons a title in the UAAP. With the Akari management’s blessing, Lorene has decided to stay with Adamson University.
The decision comes after the San Marcelino squad ended what was a long nine-year Final Four drought that dates back to the time when Adamson legend Bang Pineda was still playing in the seniors division.
With this development, the Lady Falcons will have an intact roster of middle blockers in Toring, Rizza Cruz, Ckyle Tagsip, and Mayang Nuique.
Iisa pa ako,” she said.
The next UAAP season is not until the first quarter of 2024 but for Toring, it’s never too early to prepare for action.
I need to be consistent and I need to be reliable sa mga teammate ko,” she said.
By next year, after the Lady Falcons go through the off-season, the team hopes to be a more mature team ready to challenge the dynasties in the league.
