ADAMSON STAKES SPOTLESS RECORD AGAINST POWERHOUSE NSNU

The toughest battle yet for the Adamson Baby Falcons is coming and head coach JP Yude wants all hands on deck.

Following the team’s straight-set win over De La Salle-Zobel Monday, there is now a tie at the top of the UAAP Season 85 Girls’ Volleyball Tournament standings, with both Adamson and Nazareth School of National University still spotless at 4-0.

And like a script made for good TV, the San Marcelino squad and the Lady Bullpups clash on the last day of the first round of eliminations, Tuesday, 2:00 PM, at Paco Arena.

“Nire-remind ko sila na sa mga susunod pang laban, importante ang service-receive,” Yude told Akari Sports after defeating La Salle-Zobel, 25-10, 25-17, 25-14.

“Kailangan on target sa serve at kailangan may pasa para maka-execute kami ng maayos,” he added.

So far, the connection of libero Juris Manuel, setter Chen Cuenca, and team captain and outside hitter Shaina Nitura has been the bread and butter of the Baby Falcons in their winning streak.

Adamson’s other outside hitter, Red Bascon, however, might just be another weapon for the squad following her inspired performance against the Junior Lady Spikers which prompted Yude to pick her as the Akari Power Bankable Player of the Game.

“Iba ‘yung pinakita niya today. Naging mas aggressive siya. At umaasa tayo na mas i-level-up pa niya,” he shared.

“Kailangan ko silang lahat na mag contribute para maganda ang maipakita namin as a team,” the coach added.

The Baby Falcons will get some well-deserved rest for the rest of Monday before an early morning activation the next day.
