In another surprising move, coach Jorge de Brito has decided to switch starting opposites, inserting Lycha Ebon into the first group against Petro Gazz in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference Saturday at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna.
A few hours after moving Dani Ravena and Gyra Barroga to the reserve list, De Brito decided to bump Ebon to the starting six.
The FEU product has spared sparingly in the tournament, but got her longest burn last Thursday as usual starter Erika Raagas struggled mightily against Chery Tiggo.
In three-and-a-half sets of action, Ebon delivered six points.
The 5-foot-10 Davaoena joins setter Mich Cobb, middles Krich Macaslang and Ezra Madrigal, and outside hitters Prisilla Rivera and Janine Maricano in the opening group.
