Akari looks to upset PVL leader Chery Tiggo

Fresh off its maiden win, Akari looks to make it two in a row in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference Thursday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Chargers, looking to build momentum, lock horns with unbeaten Chery Tiggo at 2:30pm, hoping to dent the Crossovers’ record and move into the top half of the nine-team field.

With Prisilla Rivera leading the way, Akari pummelled UAI-Army in their last game, as the import from Dominican Republic fired 25 points off 25 kills on 52.8% spiking accuracy.

MVPris will be banked upon once more by the Chargers even as locals like Erika Raagas and Janine Marciano are expected to provide support for coach Jorge De Brito.

Young gun Trisha Genesis is tipped to return after a one-game absence due to a minor injury.

On the other hand, Chery Tiggo has been surprise leaders of the PVL even with the silent offensive play of reinforcement Jelene Cvijovic.

But it has been Mylene Paat and Cza Carandang doing the damage for the former champions, and they will be the prime focus of the defense in this matchup.
