To buff up squad, Akari looks for talents in team tryouts

As it looks to build a formidable squad just in time for October, the Akari Power Chargers held an invitations-only tryouts last July 1 and 3 at the PACE Academy in Quezon City.

Familiar faces were present alongside Akari’s rumored recruits as aspiring Power Chargers from across the country gathered in the two-day trials.

The coaching staff, led by newly-signed head coach Jorge Edson Souza de Brito, got a glimpse of potential talents both established collegiate names and seasoned players.

Akari will be joining the import-laden Reinforced Conference of the Philippine Volleyball League this October.
