NXLED hopes to learn its lessons from a tough five-set win over Farm Fresh as it plays Capital1 Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
For the rejigged Chameleons, the task is clear this conference: convert pressure into clean execution and the 6:30 p.m. duel with the Solar Spikers is another test.
“I feel like everyone is really good and mature on the team. Everyone holds each other accountable and I really have a supportive coaching staff,” said three-time MVP Brooke Van Sickle.
Loaded with championship pedigree from the PetroGazz pipeline, Nxled showed flashes of dominance behind Van Sickle, Myla
Pablo and MJ Phillips in the opener, but has also revealed vulnerabilities in its game which it is trying to clean it up.
Lyann de Guzman, one of the key Chameleons’ holdovers, delivered when things went rough for coach Guidetti Ettore.
Nxled will not only to watch out Bella Belen, as the rookie standout is getting the needed help to lessen her offensive burden for Capital1.
New signees Shaya Adorador, Ysa Jimenez and Pauline Gaston gave immediate impact for the Solar Spikers in their first match.
The winner of the Nxled-Capital1 match will join Cignal on top of the standings at 2-0.
Nxled thanks its sponsor Red Viper for supporting the club’s campaign this conference.
