The Nxled Chameleons bucked a slow start to sweep the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 26-24, 25-23, 25-23, to chalk up their third consecutive victory in the 2025 PVL On Tour at the Playtime FilOil Centre in San Juan City, Tuesday night.
Jovelyn Gonzaga earned Best Player of the Game honors with 14 points composed of 13 attacks and one ace along with five excellent digs.
EJ Carino delivered 16 points built on 13 attacks, one block, and one ace, while team captain Chiara Permentilla chipped in 13 markers off 10 attacks, two aces, and one block.
The veteran duo also anchored the defense, with Carino tallying nine excellent receptions, and Permentilla contributing nine excellent receptions along with six excellent digs.
After trailing 4–13 in the opening set, the Chameleons regrouped and clawed their way back to snatch the first away from the Highrisers.
Nxled had slow starts in the next two sets as well, but the storyline remained the same. They rallied with grit and composure to take control when it mattered most.

In the second game, the Akari Chargers blanked the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-23, 25-18, 25-23, to close out their pool B campaign.
Eli Soyud paced Akari with 12 points, while Ezra Madrigal and Grethcel Soltones contributed 11 and nine points respectively.
Setter Kamille Cal was key to the Chargers’ offense, fanning out 22 excellent sets in the win.
With a comfortable 2-0 lead in the match, the Chargers found themselves in 13-21 hole in the third set. The Solar Spikers looked to extend the match to a fourth set, but Akari had other ideas in mind as they unleashed a 12-2 run to secure their second straight win.
