The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Junior Growling Tigresses maintained their perfect record with a dominant 98-40 win over St. Paul College of Pasig (SPCP) in the Akari U16 Girls’ Basketball Invitational on Friday at the 3rd Fitness Lab.

With the victory, UST secured the No. 1 seed heading into the semifinals, where they will face the fourth-seeded Akari Baby Chargers.

Sofia Petalcorin led the Tigresses with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Uriel Capinpin added 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Despite Brooklyn Sanchez’s effort of 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists, SPCP struggled to keep pace and committed seven turnovers.
