The Nxled Chameleons demolish the Galeries Tower Highrisers in straight sets, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15, to capture their first win in the PVL 2024 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena, Tuesday night.
Ivy Lacsina shined bright for the Chameleons as she performed on both ends with 17 points in 55% efficiency and 11 excellent digs.
Lycha Ebon and Cams Victoria added more scoring with 15 and 10 points, respectively. Meanhile, team captain Dani Ravena took care of business defensively with 10 excellent digs and seven excellent receptions.
The Chameleons had a slow start as they trailed in the early part of the first set, but Lacsina took matters into her own hands, delivering the finishing touches to take the first.
In the second frame, Nxled came firing out of the gate and dominated Galeries Tower to hold a commanding 2-0 lead in the match,
The Chameleons began to smell blood from their prey and put the Highrisers away for good on their way to a sweep for their first victory.
On the other hand, no player from the Galeries Tower side scored in double digits with Ysa Jimenez leading the way with eight points.
Nxled, now at 1-3, will next face sister team Akari on March 16, Saturday at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna, 6pm.
