The Adamson University Lady Falcons suffered a three-set loss at the hands of the National University Lady Bulldogs, 17-25, 20-25, 20-25, in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Wednesday.
After losing in the first set, Adamson put up a better fight in the next two sets.
The team from San Marcelino was going tit-for-tat against the Jhocson-based crew in the second and third sets before losing steam in the finals stretches.
No Lady Falcon scored in double digits as May Ann Nuique and Antonette Adolfo only had nine points each, while Lucille Almonte posted seven markers and 15 excellent receptions.
For NU, setter Camilla Lamina was hailed as the Best Player of the Game with 17 excellent sets. Alyssa Solomon, Bella Belen, and Vange Alinsug shined bright thanks to Laminas setting as they scored 17, 15, and 12 points respectively.
Adamson, who dropping to 1-2, tries to return to the winning track with a win against UE on Sunday, March 3, 2pm at the MOA Arena.
