LA SALLE sustained its unbeaten run in the UAAP women’s football tournament with a 2-0 victory over debutants National University Wednesday at the UP Football Stadium.
Jodi Banzon finally found the back of the net, while Chenny Dañoso scored her second goal of the season as the Lady Booters now have maximum of nine points.
“I’m happy for Chenny na nakuha niya yung second goal niya,” said first-year coach Joyce Landagan. “Now, I hope na magtuloy-tuloy and, pangalawa, the connection between her and her teammates, how she activates her teammates, sana mag tuloy-tuloy.”
The result kept the Nxled-backed Lady Booters perfect under Landagan, who once again urged her players to keep their feet on the ground and continue working hard.
“We will stick on each game. Yung mga plano naming, we will stick to it. We will take one game at a time lagi para from there we’ll see yung progress namin as a team,” Landagan said.
La Salle will look to make it four straight wins when it faces the University of Santo Tomas on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
