Only two days after powering Alas Pilipinas to a bronze finish in the second leg of the SEA V.League in Vietnam, Shaina Nitura wasted no time returning to action for Adamson University.

Nitura erupted for 28 points to lead the Lady Falcons past the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws in a nerve-wracking five-setter, 25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 22-25, 15-11, in the 2025 V-League Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena, Tuesday night.

Frances Mordi chipped in 15 points built on 12 attacks, two blocks, and an ace, while incoming rookie middle blockers Lhouriz Tuddao and Mary Grace Del Moral added eight apiece as Adamson notched its second straight win in their first pre-season tournament ahead of UAAP Season 88.

Nitura and the Lady Falcons regained their rhythm just in time in the decider, fending off FEU’s late push to deny the Lady Tamaraws a reverse sweep.

Earlier, with the third set tied at 16 and Adamson up two sets to none, the blue-and-white squad seemed on track to wrap up the match. But FEU caught fire, unleashing a 9-1 run to snatch the set and keep the contest alive.

In the fourth, Adamson again appeared in control after Mordi extended their lead to 17-13. The Lady Tamaraws, however, mounted another rally to steal the frame and send the match to a fifth set.

Gerz Petallo led FEU with 18 points, while Jaz Ellarina finished with 16 in the losing effort.

Adamson will go for a third straight win when it faces the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers on August 19, Tuesday, at 12 noon, still at the Paco Arena.
