Three more girls have entered the Falcons’ nest and will be flexing their wings with the school’s volleyball program. Ize, Iya, and Ishaa Lacsina are following in the footsteps of their older sister, Ivy, who now plays as an outside hitter for the Akari Chargers. The three have officially joined Adamson University’s girls’ volleyball program, bringing the Lacsina count under the Akari umbrella to four, with the different programs the brand supports.
17-year-old Ize Lacsina, a 5’8” middle blocker, is joined by her younger sisters Iya, a 14-year-old open spiker who stands at 5’9”, and Ishaa, an 11-year-old setter who measures at 5’4″. All three sisters, under the watchful eyes of Adamson Baby Falcons Head Coach JP Yude, look to follow in the footsteps of their sister, Ivy, and make themselves a household name in the volleyball scene.
More than just a feel-good family story, the arrival of the Lacsina sisters in Adamson reflects the vision of Akari Sports. With the organization’s involvement in the educational, professional, and national scene, it looks to identify and nurture the athletes of today and help them develop to become the champions of tomorrow.
With Ivy leading the way in the pros, and Ize, Iya, and Ishaa carving their own paths at Adamson, the Lacsinas stand as living proof of how Akari continues to light the way for the next generation of Philippine volleyball.
From the UAAP to the PVL, Alagang Akari isn’t just a promise, but also it’s a legacy passed down from sister to sister.
