Adamson’s Maegan Pineda and Ella Gonzalvo made quick work of University of the East’s Janella Mangahis and Nicole Agustin, 21-7, 21-5, to remain in third place in the UAAP Season 88 high school beach volleyball tournament at Sands SM By The Bay on Sunday.
The Baby Falcons, last season’s bronze medalists, currently have a 3-1 record.
University of Santo Tomas is in the Final Four at 5-0, while defending champion National University Nazareth School is almost there with a 4-1 card.
Action resumes on Thursday.
Backed by Akari, Adamson’s last three matches are against teams fighting for Final Four slots, UP Integrated School, La Salle-Zobel, and Far Eastern University-Diliman.
