The Adamson University Baby Falcons extended their dominant season with a commanding sweep of the University of the East Junior Lady Warriors, 25-12, 25-10, 25-16, in the second round of the UAAP Season 88 girls’ volleyball tournament at the Paco Arena on November 19.

The victory marked their eleventh straight win and their second triumph over UE after taking their first round encounter earlier in the tournament.

The Baby Falcons controlled the match from start to finish, posting a 75 to 38 total output across three sets.

Team captain and libero Maegan Pineda’s steady passing and exceptional floor defense earned her the best player of the game honors with 14 excellent digs and nine excellent receptions.

Ella Gonzalvo led Adamson in scoring with 12 points while Cassandra Suerte and Janessa Buhay added 10 and eight points, respectively.

UE leaned on Daisy Tomaque on offense, scoring 10 points, but the Junior Lady Warriors struggled to break through Adamson’s defense.

Adamson’s steady service pressure and quick counterattacks widened the gap in each frame. Even during UE’s strongest push in the third set, the Baby Falcons responded with composure and cleaner execution to close out the sweep.

Now at 11-0 and still holding the top seed, the Baby Falcons shift their focus to a high-stakes showdown against the second seeded NU Nazareth School Lady Bullpups. The match is set for Sunday, November 23, at 3 p.m. at the Blue Eagle Gym and is expected to carry major implications in the race for pole position entering the next phase of the tournament.
