The Adamson University Baby Falcons strengthened its hold on the league lead after a decisive sweep of Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles, 25–9, 25–16, 25–10, at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
The win marked Adamson’s 10th straight victory and its second triumph over Ateneo this season.
Adamson controlled the match from the opening serve. The team’s offense flowed through Cassandra Suerte, who finished with 11 points built on steady attacking and timely finishing. Janessa Buhay added nine points, while Yzobelle Katigbak chipped in three. Adamson’s balanced scoring and sustained pressure kept Ateneo on the defensive throughout the match.
The Falcons posted 75 total scoring attempts and consistently outplayed Ateneo in every skill category. Their serves disrupted Ateneo’s rhythm and created multiple transition opportunities. Elle Garces anchored their backline with efficient reception and floor coverage, allowing Adamson to run its system cleanly.
Ateneo struggled to find openings against Adamson’s organized block and quick counterattacks. Gian Damian paced the Blue Eagles with 8 points, while Sabine Tomanan added four. Despite flashes of resistance, Ateneo could not match Adamson’s pace and execution.
With the sweep of Ateneo completed for the season and momentum firmly on its side, the team moves closer to securing top seeding as the elimination round nears its close.
