The De La Salle University Lady Booters have officially secured their spot in the UAAP Season 88 Women’s Football Finals, marking their eighth straight Finals appearance, despite a narrow 0-1 loss to the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigresses at the UP Diliman Football Pitch, Saturday
Nikah Asilo’s 35th-minute goal proved decisive, but the Lady Booters dominated possession and created 23 scoring opportunities, showcasing their attacking prowess.
With Finals qualification already secured, the team played strategically, keeping key players on caution warnings safe and fit for the championship.
La Salle, three-time silver medalists, will now face three-time defending champions FEU Lady Tamaraws, meeting their longtime rivals for the fourth consecutive Finals showdown.
