The Adamson University Lady Falcons stamped their class in the Cebu Leg of the Shakey’s Super League National Invitationals after sweeping all their assignments to claim the crown.
Shaina Nitura emerged as the Best Player of the Cebu Leg, powering Adamson’s offense as the team’s top scorer in three matches.
The Lady Falcons capped their dominant run with a straight-sets victory over the Ateneo Blue Eagles, 25-15, 26-24, 25-14, to secure the championship.
Earlier, Adamson cruised past the University of Southern Philippines Foundation, 25-15, 25-10, 25-16, with Abegail Segui stepping up with 13 points.
Nitura also shone in their tournament opener, erupting for 28 points in a 25-16, 31-33, 25-18, 25-12 triumph that set the tone for Adamson’s unbeaten campaign.
Fresh from their successful Visayas stint, the Lady Falcons will now shift their focus back to the V-League, where they are set to battle the Arellano University Lady Chiefs on Saturday, August 30, at 10 a.m. in Paco Arena.
