Hope Christian HS joins UAAP teams in Akari Metro Manila Final Four

The strongest have survived.

After two weekends of intense competitions, powerhouse teams De La Salle Zobel, University of Santo Tomas, Hope Christian High School and Far Eastern University Diliman barged into the Final Four of the 2018 Akari National High School Volleyball Championships.

The Junior Archers and the Baby Tamaraws face off in their side of the bracket while the Junior Tigresses and the Hope girls battle for the second ticket to the finals.

Both the Final Four and the championship round are set on Saturday, March 10 at the Tivoli Royale Country Club, with matches starting at 8:00am.

DLSZ took the biggest scalp in the quarterfinals after edging Kings Montessori School, 30-28, in an exciting tiff between the protagonists of the 2018 NCR Palaro finals.

FEU-Diliman, meanwhile, banked on the length and athleticism of Alexis Miner to hold fort against both FEU-Morayta and First City Providential College and book their ticket to the semis.

Meanwhile, Hope showcased their firepower in defeating perennial rival Chiang Kai Shek College even as UST edged UE by the slimmest of margins to arrange their own Final Four saga.

KMS, who will represent NCR in the 2018 Palarong Pambansa, wound up fifth after the classification round while FEU-Morayta, Chiang Kai Shek and UE round out the top eight.
