Two-time Palarong Pambansa best setter Louie Romero has been eagerly awaited for not only by the Adamson community, but by the rest of UAAP volleyball fans since suiting up for Adamson as guest player in PVL Open Conference 2017. It’s only but fitting for her to debut in an organized league as a Lady Falcon in the Premier Volleyball League.
The 5’3” rookie shared how head coach Onyok Getigan pursued her to play for the blue and white.
A three-time Palarong Pambansa champion, Romero has the experience to win games and is raring to show her caliber in the UAAP. Teammate rookie libero Karen Verdeflor revealed how competitive their captain is inside the court. Gusto niya lagi nananalo.”
The young playmaker idolizes National Team member and ace setter Jia Morado for her decision-making skill.
Possibly the youngest and first-ever rookie captain in the PVL, the incoming marketing freshman views the pressure as a challenge and not as a threat for she experienced captainship in her four years with King’s Montessori School.
Asked what Romero thinks of her team, “Mas aggressive at mas fearless yung personality namin ngayon. Kahit na bata pa kami, andun yung maturity,” she closed.
