Baby Falcons fight for shot at twice-to-beat in final elims weekend

Adamson High School tries to go for the first twice-to-beat advantage in school history when they meet separate foes in the UAAP Season 81 girls volleyball tournament this weekend in Quezon City.

Holding a 7-3 record now good for third, the Baby Falcons must beat second-running De La Salle Zobel (8-2) in their 4:30pm Saturday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

The Junior Archers crushed the listless San Marcelino crew when they met in the first round, 25-19, 25-17, 25-23 behind Angel Canino’s 16 points.

But now with bigger stakes, expect coach Onyok Getigan and his squad led by rookies Kate Santiago and Ayesha Juegos to step up as they battle for Final Four positioning.

In their last elimination-round game, Adamson meets UST at the FEU Diliman Gym on Sunday at 4:30pm.
