Falcons look to end skid vs revitalized NU

Start the second round on a positive note and end a two-game losing skid.

Those will be on the minds of Adamson as they lock horns with NU in the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball tournament Wednesday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

After a perfect start, the Soaring Falcons have lost back-to-back games — both in overtime — to slide to second place with a 5-2 record.

Coach Franz Pumaren has repeatedly told his players to lock down on defense and make smart decisions on both ends.

Whether the San Marcelino crew has finally absorbed that will be seen against a Bulldogs side raring to make an impression in the second round.

Adamson will be wary of NU’s deadly rookie wing combination of Dave Ildefonso and John Lloyd Clemente, the latter of whom exploded for 21 points in their last win.
