Pocari-Air Force grounds Akari-Adamson in straight sets

Akari-Adamson gave a good fight, but Pocari-Air Force was just too much.

The Lady Warriors walloped the Lady Falcons, 25-23, 25-22, 25-16, to continue their stellar run in the 2018 PVL Open Conference Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Myla Pablo and Iari Yongco posted 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Pocari-Air Force, which sent the San Marcelino six to 0-2 in the season-ending tournament.

Del Palomata and Jeanette Panaga added nine markers apiece.

Akari-Adamson stuck with the Lady Warriors in the first two sets, but just couldn’t catch a break in crunch time.

In the third set, however, the veterans of Pocari-Air Force flexed their muscles, racing to a 9-0 lead and never looking back.

Chiara Permentilla led the Lady Falcons with 12 points while Bern Flora had 11 points, 21 digs and eight excellent receptions.
