Licking the wounds of their stunning exit from the Final Four race just two days ago, Adamson tries to rebound quickly when it takes on UST in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball finale for both teams Saturday at the Blue Eagle Gym.
Aside from pride, rankings will be at stake, as both the Lady Falcons and the Golden Tigresses are tied for fifth with similar 5-8 records.
Veteran spiker Mylene Paat said the San Marcelino belles will go all out in what will be their last hurrah for Adamson.
“(Kailangan) talunin yung UST. Gustong-gusto ko pa rin manalo. School pride na lang,” she said after the Lady Falcons absorbed a four-set loss to La Salle the other day.
Team captain Jema Galanza, libero Jellie Tempiatura, and setter Fhen Emnas will also play their last game for the squad after exhausting their UAAP eligibility.
The Tigresses shocked Adamson in the first round, handing coach Air Padda her only straight-set defeat throughout the season.
The Lady Falcons will once more have their hands full defending top scorer Sisi Rondina, who now has solid help from the opposite side in rookie Milena Alessandrini.
