‘Sobrang saya ko,’ says Jema Galanza after teamwork worked vs NU

After yet another tumultuous stretch that saw them tumble down the standings, Jema Galanza is relieved that Adamson has seemed to figure it out already.

Galanza was at the forefront of the Lady Falcons’ four-set whipping of once-league leader NU on Wednesday, scoring 16 points, including an eye-popping bounce ball that made the crowd go wild.

The Laguna native shared her giddiness about her team’s excellent play.

“Sobrang saya ko. Ang gaan sa pakiramdam,” she said. “Yung laro namin kanina, talagang lahat gumawa. Sana magtuloy-tuloy hanggang matapos yung second round.”

Whether that happens remains a question, as consistency has been Adamson’s biggest headache in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament so far.

But Galanza hopes she and her teammates ride on the crest of this all-important victory as they gun for a seat in the Final Four for the first time in years.

“Walang mag-rerelax,” she stressed. “Magandang momentum yung nanalo kami kanina kasi next game namin Ateneo, malaking tulong siya.”

The San Marcelino crew return to the court on Sunday to face red-hot Ateneo in another revenge match.

“Di na kami kailangang umatras kasi andito na kami. Patapos na. Itutuloy lang namin,” she closed.
