Lady Falcons get back at NU to keep Final Four hopes burning

Back on track.

Adamson overwhelmed NU in four sets to move just a game behind the top four in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Falcons took advantage of the Lady Bulldogs’ 39 errors to run away with the 25-19, 25-15, 18-25, 25-13 triumph to even their record at 5-5.

Jema Galanza led the attack with 16 points while Joy Dacoron and Mylene Paat added 13 and 11 markers, respectively, as the San Marcelino side recorded their second straight win.

Fhen Emnas, likewise, dominated her matchup with Jasmine Nabor, tallying 35 excellent sets to go with four points and spearheading the run that pushed them to a big comeback in Set 2.

After giving away 37 free points in their opening-day matchup, Adamson just had 24 unforced errors this time.

Jaja Santiago led all scorers with 21 points off 17 hits, two blocks and two aces.

The Lady Falcons, however, kept the rest of her teammates in check as nobody else scored in double figures.
