Defense will be key as inspired Adamson faces off with UP

If they are serious about making noise in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament, then Adamson has to double down on strengthening its floor defense.

That is the message coach Air Padda wants to send across as the Lady Falcons (1-1) take on UP (1-1) in their third game Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The American coach knows the Lady Maroons are a well-stocked team, with attackers like Isa Molde and Tots Carlos spearheading an experienced side.

But Padda hopes the San Marcelino squad defends like they did against FEU to give the Diliman crew a run for their money.

“I feel like they have a good team, big heart too. They have good players in the team. I think Carlos and Molde are great. But if we play like just today, our floor defense is really strong.”

Game time is at 2:00pm, with both teams eyeing to remain in the upper echelon of the standings.
