Snipers go to work as Akari-Adamson shoots way to third win

Four players finished in double figures as Akari-Adamson rolled to its third win in four 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup outings after zapping Che-Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian, 84-75, Tuesday at the JCSGO Gym in Quezon City.

Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jun Espeleta were at the forefront of the Soaring Falcons’ attack anew, combining for 33 points and providing sniping from beyond the arc to stay at second place.

Newcomers Egie Boy Mojica and Jerom Lastimosa teamed up for 19 markers even as big man Papi Sarr was solid in the paint with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Akari-Adamson dictated the tempo from the get-go and came away with an eight-point lead after 10 minutes.

Che-Lu Bar and Grill tied the match at the break and came to within seven points at the end of the third quarter.

Espeleta, however, spearheaded a 9-0 assault that brought the Falcons comfortably up, 69-54, early in the final quarter before a Sean Manganti basket settled the issue once and for all with a basket that made it 80-66.
