Angeles, Bataan squads lead march to Central Luzon quarters

ANGELES CITY — Four teams from this bustling city and four more from Bataan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija complete the quarterfinal cast of the 2018 Akari National High School Volleyball Championships Central Luzon leg. 

Traditional powerhouse teams Holy Family Academy and Angeles University Foundation topped Groups A and B, respectively, while Marian College of Bulacan and Orani’s Jose Rizal Institute were the best teams in Groups C and D.

HFA will take on Republic Central Colleges while AUF and Holy Angel University figure in a rematch of their Angeles city meet finals, where the latter emerged to book a ticket to this year’s CLRAA.

On the other side of the bracket, JRI battles Tarlac National HS while Juan R. Liwag Memorial National HS faces off with Marian College.

Champion of the Central Luzon leg earns an opportunity to represent Central Luzon in the National Finals set on March 17-18 at Adamson University.
