After a strong UAAP debut against NU, Chiara Permentilla followed it up with another stellar showing, this time in a win against FEU — a win she describes as ‘beautiful’.
The former De La Salle-Lipa stalwart provided ample support to a gritty Adamson offense, scoring 11 markers, including some clutch points down the stretch, that came a week after she scattered 12 points in a loss to the Lady Bulldogs in her maiden UAAP outing.
This time around, though, it was sweeter with the W.
“Siyempre first win for the season ito and comeback from out last game,” Permentilla shared to Akari Sports after the game.
“Sobrang ganda kasi makakatulong ito sa buong team para mataas ang confidence namin sa upcoming games namin.”
Against FEU, Adamson looked like a totally different team that lost to NU in their season opener as they proved to be more steady on defense, while also being consistent in the attacking side. Skipper Jema Galanza top-scored in the game with 26 with three other Lady Falcons, including Permentilla, adding double-digit productions also.
With Galanza graduating after this season, Permentilla seems poised to take over as the face of the Lady Falcons but the Batangas native is not rushing things out.
“Wala naman masyadong pressure na mag-perform every game eh, kasi lahat naman kami nag-peperform,” Permentilla said.
“May kanya-kanya kaming skills at way paano maglaro.”
Permentilla and the rest of Adamson will test their mettle next against UP which parades an able cast led by Tots Carlos and Isa Molde.
