Papi Sarr finishes fifth in UAAP Season 80 MVP race


Adamson big man Papi Sarr’s consistent double-double exploits landed him in the top five of the race to the Most Valuable Player plum of the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament. 

Averaging 13.9 points on 47.1% shooting, and 12.7 rebounds per game, the Cameroonian reinforcement gathered 63.1538 statistical points in leading the Soaring Falcons to a second straight Final Four appearance.

La Salle behemoth Ben Mbala was the runaway winner of the MVP award for the second consecutive year after norming 26.0 points on 52.4% shooting, 13.1 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.3 steals for the second-ranked Archers.

Versatile Ateneo swingman Thirdy Ravena was a far second with 66.5000 SPs while NU’s Jjay Alejandro (63.8571) and burly UE scorer Alvin Pasaol (63.4286) were third and fourth, respectively.

Other cagers from San Marcelino in the Top 20 were Jerrick Ahanmisi (43.4286) and Jerie Pingoy (43.3571).
