Finish stronger: Adamson looks for fourth straight win

Already assured of the third spot in the UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball Final Four, Adamson hopes to build more momentum entering the playoffs.

The Soaring Falcons lock horns with FEU on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, with the Tamaraws fighting for dear life at 4:00pm.

The San Marcelino squad waylaid FEU in their first-round meeting, with Adamson never trailing in a 95-79 rout that also served as their fourth consecutive victory.

Adamson was on fire from downtown in that match, draining 10 of 21 attempts, as Jerrick Ahanmisi, Jun Espeleta and Rob Manalang made it rain from beyond the arc.

The Falcons will be expected to duplicate that and do more as they battle a team looking to strengthen its semifinals bid.

The Tamaraws are currently fourth with a 6-7 and a loss would send them into a do-or-die battle with the winner of the UP-NU game at 2:00pm, also on Saturday.
