Almost there: Mylene Paat close to returning to Adamson

Cross your fingers and pray to the volleyball gods, Adamson fans, because Mylene Paat may return to San Marcelino for UAAP Season 80.

“Possibly, we’re trying to work it out,” Adamson Lady Falcons head coach Air Padda told Akari Sports the possibility of Paat’s return.

Team manager Russell Balbacal is optimistic, too, saying there’s a very good chance the Lady Falcons will tap the services of the middle blocker/opposite hitter for next year.

“Let’s say 90% chance,” he shared. “We’re just talking about the expectations na lang and we’ll work out with coaches and her schedule. But Mylene was given the go signal already.”

According to Paat, she’s “thinking about it” as she probably will have a very tight schedule since she’s currently playing for a semi-pro team.

“Siguro ngayon pinagiisipan ko pa ng todo,” she said.

Padda said that Paat, who was the team captain in Season 78, will be a very huge addition should she join the young Lady Falcons.

“We are discussing it right now because that would make our team even stronger. It would be really nice to see her and Joy (Dacoron), and Eli (Soyud) and Chiara (Permentilla), it’s a pretty strong front row,” said the American mentor.

Since her departure in Season 78. Paat has improved after playing for Laoag in the V-League and Cignal in the PSL.
