La Salle coach Aldin Ayo says Archers will be prepared for Adamson

They might be heavy favorites to beat Adamson and enter the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball finals, but La Salle coach Aldin Ayo isn’t about to take their foes lightly.

The Soaring Falcons and the Green Archers clash on Wednesday, 4:00pm at the Mall of Asia Arena, with the former needing to beat the latter twice in a row to secure a ticket to the Last Dance.

It will be a tall order for the Akari Sports-backed squad, as La Salle has defeated Adamson in both of their elimination-round meetings this season.

The Archers handily took Round 1, 91-75, before squeaking past the Falcons, 86-79, in their rematch.

Ayo says the Taft five will be ready for whatever their ‘nothing-to-lose-everything-to-gain’ foes will bring a couple of days from now.

“Maghahanda kami sa ganung mindset,” he said in an interview with Spin, while promising they won’t be caught napping. “Being complacent and having lack of effort, hindi na namin concern ‘yun. Alam na namin ang pakiramdam ng matalo. Alam namin na if we don’t exert effort, ganun ang mangyayari.”
